Nepal Tourism Board to operate special bus service from airport to hotels during strike

Nepal Tourism Board and Himalayan Rescue Association under the banner of Tourism Crisis Cell with the coordination of Tourist Police has arranged shuttle bus service for the national and international air passengers from airport to various hotels and vice versa on April 7, 2015 due to the general strike called by UCPNM. NTB to hike TSF by Rs 500 from March

Nepal-Tourism-BoardKATHMANDU, Jan 27: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is doubling Tourism Service Fee (TSF) levied on foreigners departing from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) from March 1. It has been levying Rs 500 per tourist so far.

Officials of NTB argue that the hike in TSF was necessary to meet the expectations of Nepali tourism industry and to cope with the paradigm shift in the international tourism promotion and marketing. Continue reading
