Maghi holds special value in the Bhada Community Homestay. Family members receive blessings from the family’s elders and the women of a community are involved in the preparation of foods like Dhikri and Roti. Other than Dhikri and roti, meat items are also enjoyed as delicacies. The Tharu community believe the day of the festival is an auspicious day to start new things, be it a new business or finding a new community leader. In order to celebrate this special occasion, the day is filled with family gatherings and varieties of local food.

After a short break to refresh yourself, join your friendly host for a village walk and explore the vibrant community while immersing yourself in the daily lives of the locals, gaining insights into their unique way of living. In the evening, get together with your hosts to cook various local dishes consumed by the people of the community.
You will be going for a short walk to Bheda Baba Temple early in the morning, its a local spiritual gem known for its historical significance and architectural beauty. It is just 3km away from the homestay and is considered to be very important to the locals. Your day will be filled with varieties of local cuisine and songs and dance as well as visit to the relatives of the host family. Traditionally, for the Tharus, Maghi is the time of eating, having fun and relaxing with their relatives.
Wake up to a warm breakfast in the morning prepared by your host. Shortly after breakfast, you will be departing from the homestay.
