Gautam Buddha International Airport begins operation

Gautam Buddha International Airport, Nepal’s second international airport finally begins its operation in Bhairahawa, Lumbini. 

On Monday, the birth day of Lord Buddha, a Jazeera Airways plane took off from a Kuwaiti airport and landed as the first commercial flight at the newly built airport.

Despite the fact that the first flight happened today, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal says regular flights will begin on June 12.
