NATIONAL PARK AND MONUMENTS’ ENTRY FEE

NATIONAL PARK AND MONUMENTS’ ENTRY FEE

While doing cultural tours in Kathmandu Valley, entry fees are required to enter most monuments. These fees are valid for one entry only, but if you plan to visit again later, please inform your tour guide, as prolonged entry tickets can be obtained. You must present your passport for this.

** Please check your dossier and booking file to confirm whether your package includes entry fees for monuments or not.

Similarly, when you are going trekking in the mountains, an entry permit is required for any national parks that you will be entering, as well as a TIMS card (Trekkers Information Management System). These permits are valid for single entry and for the duration of your trek. Should you exit the national park for any reason and you need to re-enter, you need to get another entry permit. Single entry park permits are included in your trek package. If your trekking package includes visiting multiple national parks, all necessary park permits will be included.

In Chitwan National Park, the park entry permit is valid for one day and multiple entries. If your package includes multiple visits to the park in a day, you do not have to buy an additional park permit. But if you visit the national park on another day, you need to pay extra for the park entry permit.

** All activities in Chitwan National Park are on sharing basis (unless your package mentions that they are private). The time of an activity solely depends on the resort management, and they will brief you. During the monsoon season (July to September), some activities—such as jungle walk or Jeep safari—are not possible inside the national park. Sometimes, Jeep safaris are not possible until as late as mid-October. In such cases, activities will be organized in the buffer zone of the national park.
