Amendments to the prevailing Expedition Rules and Regulation 2059

Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation has made necessary amendments to the prevailing Expedition Rules and Regulation 2059 regarding the insured amount for the Nepalese support crew during the trekking and expedition effective from 01st January 2014.Below are the changes made.

 

1.    With reference to the Expedition Rules and Regulation Act 2059, Government of Nepal has decided to make necessary amendments to the prevailing Expedition Rules and Regulation 2059.

High Altitude Workers or Porters – NRs Four Hundred Thousand Only (NRs 4,00,000.00) High Altitude Workers or Porters – NRs One Million Only (NRs 10,00,000.00)
Base Camp Support Crew Members – Nrs Fifty Thousand Only (NRs 50,000.00) Base Camp Support Crew Members – Nrs Eight Hundred Thousand Only (NRs 8,00,000.00)
Medical Insurance for all – NRs Fifty Thousand Only (NRs 50,000.00) Medical Insurance for all – NRs Three Hundred Thousand Only (NRs 3,00,000.00)

2.    Amendment to Tourism Act 2035, section 29 – Prevailing Search and Rescue Mission Insurance has been increased from USD 4000.00 to USD 10,000.00

3. The Amended Act will be effective from 01st January 2014.
