Aug 19, 2018-Tourist arrivals to Nepal jumped 73.5 percent in the month of July, largely due to a sharp increase in the number of travelers from countries like India, China, the US and the UK, according to statistics released by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

With two new wide-body Airbus aircraft being added to its fleet, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) expects its stake in international passenger movement to grow by at least five per cent.

The 2nd Himalayan Travel Mart 2018 (HTM 2018) kicked off in the capital on 1st of June to 3rd of June, 2018.
The HTM, hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Civil Aviation, was organised by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in coordination with national and international tourism associations.
The HTM 2018 ended with several sessions, including an HTM conference, International Travel Bloggers and Media Conference, and a Buyers and Sellers Meet.
As per the record of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), a total of 158,578 foreign tourists visited the Annapurna Region, which is popular for mountain views and some of the best trekking trails in the world, in 2017.
