Adventure tourism gains popularity

With the growing number of youths arriving in Nepal, the country has emerged as a preferred adventure tourism destination.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA)’s recent statistics show that there has been a quality increment in the number of youths arriving in the country for adventure tourism.
The Tourism Statistics 2012 shows that the number of youths who are in the 16-30 year age group are the ones visiting the country mainly for adventure tourism and the figure is increasing every year. Continue Reading→

Rafting fest on May 25

As a part of celebrating its silver jubilee, Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA) is organizing ´Silver Jubilee Rafting Festival -2013´ on May 25.
At a press meet organized here on Sunday, Nanikaji Thapa, president of NARA, said the event would promote Nepal as an adventure tourism destination.The rafting will be organized on Belkhu Bridget to Malekhu section of Trishuli River. Paragliding test from high altitude in Nepal successful

Paragliding test flight from the highest point so far in Nepal has become successful.
A successful test of paragliding took place from Matelek in Parbat at a height of 3,100 meters on Thursday.
