Everest Close Up is a charter helicopter tour to Mount Everest. This is one of the most thrilling rides ever. Hovering above the valleys of the Khumbu region surrounded by snow-capped Himalayan peaks amid some of the highest mountains in the world, the view is exhilarating. Once in the Everest region, the helicopter will make a stop at a selected location, allowing you to enjoy, photograph & savor the breathtaking view of Mount Everest & the other great majestic peaks that surround it.
Early in the morning our guide will pick you up at the Hotel. The Helicopter ride will take you deep into the Himalayas, flying into valleys close to the rock face, as close as five nautical miles from Everest itself. Now you can see the stunning beauty of nature; raw, undiluted, and truly majestic.
The flight takes off from the Kathmandu airport and first lands in Lukla (2860m). The flight then takes off for the mountain flight.
On this trip you will see the Everest Base Camp (5364m), Mount Everest (8848m), & other peaks including Lhotse (8516m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) along with the Khumbu Glacier (7600m) and Gokyo Lake. You will also land at Kalapatthar (5643m) for 5-8 minutes where you have the closest and clearest possible view of Everest – perfect for photos.
Next, the helicopter will land at Syangboche at Hotel Everest View HEV (World’s highest placed hotel). Here you have 45 mins of ground time to sit enjoying the panoramic views of Himalayan Mountains and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast.
On the return you will land briefly again at Lukla to refuel before returning to Kathmandu.
