Arrival in Kathmandu by flight at the capital city of Nepal, at Nepal’s only International Airport, Tribhuvan Airport. On arrival, after the custom clearance at the arrival lounge you will be met by our company’s representative. On the way to the Hotel, our representative will brief you about our country and general Do’s & Don’ts, and at the Hotel’s lobby you will be briefed about the program. Welcome drinks will be served at the Hotel.

Overnight at Hotel Himalaya

AM: The Kathmandu Durbar Square, listed as one of the eight World Heritage sites by Unesco, is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The square is known to be the social, religious and urban focal point of the capital city. Our visit to Durbar Square includes the following temples – KumariChowk, (the Courtyard of the living Goddess “Kumari”), Ganesh Temple and KalBhairav shrine.  You will also visit AakashBhairav Temple, the Temple of Lord Machhendranath and the Itumbahal courtyard. Itumbahal is an old Newari settlement set in a large courtyard and famous for its traders in herbal spices and medicines. From Durbar Square we continue to Indrachowk, one of Kathmandu’s most colorful local markets. We finish our tour with a walk to Ason Chowk and its Annapurna temple which is dedicated to the goddess of Grains.

Later you will visit Swayambunath, one of the oldest and most revered shrines in the country. Perched atop a conical hill, its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire with the all-seeing-eyes are a not only a major landmark of the valley, but equally, a symbol of Nepal. The Stupa has been an important Buddhist pilgrimage site since the 5th century. Buddha Jayanti (Buddha’s Birthday), Gunla (a month-long festival) and Lhosar (Tibetan New Year) are celebrated with gusto here. You can reach the shrine by climbing 365 steps up the hill, or by a winding road on the other side. You will see numerous Chaityas and temples in the complex, but watch out, especially in the mysterious Shantipur Temple, inside of which is said to live in the 8th century Tantric Shantikar Acharya whose meditation has kept him alive for many centuries! To the west one of the latest additions; a giant 57-foot statue of the Buddha within a park area.

PM: Bhaktapur is the essential Newari City with some of the finest, and authentic architectures of Nepal. Among the three cities, of the Kathmandu Valley, it was the largest city of Newari Kingdom and capital of Nepal during the Malla’s period. It is one of the fascinating places to explore the traditional crafts of pottery, metalwork, art, and the finest woodwork hand skills of Nepalese artists. As time goes by, this place has become an energetic atmosphere, a modern melting pot – to be precise, where one can encounter the old street and temples, whose existence dates back to centuries, and to another hand, modernization has brought the sense of responsibilities to preserve the culture and to catch up the rest of the world. You may find any kind of cuisines, for instance, Chinese, or Italian, or Indian, in the Bhaktapur Durbar square.

Drive to Pharping approx. 22km southwest of Kathmandu valley. Tucked away in the Himalayas of Nepal’s Kingdom, amidst the most scenic area, there lies a Buddhist Monastery Guest-house in the most peaceful location alongside Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery.

It is an ideal place to simply relax and unwind all hustle and tussle of mundane life and an easy get-away for a short break, as you may also indulge in meditation, or even study Buddhism or follow the lifestyle of the monastics.

Leaving Kathmandu on one of the country’s busiest highways – Prithivi Highway can be slow, but once out of the city the views are impressive – the Trisuli River and the massive Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project powerhouse as well as ancient stone villages backed by steep rice terraces and the mountains beyond. Drive for approx. 3 hours, 106 km and you will reach Kurintar.

After breakfast at the hotel you will be received and then drive to Pokhara on a highway alongside  Trishuli river until you cross Mugling bridge. Crossing the Madi River, climbing again (with view of deep rocky gorges crossed by suspension bridges) before descending to the broad Seti Valley and Pokhara. Drive for approximately 3 hours, 101 km to reach Pokhara.

Pokhara – city of lakes is the third largest city in Nepal after Kathmandu and Biratnagar.  Located 200 km from the capital city of Nepal – Kathmandu, Pokhara has the dramatic changes in its geography from North to South. The altitude varies from 780m in the southern part to 1350m on the north. Three out of the world’s 10 highest mountains above eight thousand meters – Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna I (8091 m) and Manaslu (8163 m) can be seen from the city including the unique Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) with an elevation of 6997 m, which is also the closest to the city. Whereas, due to the proximity to the mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking Annapurna circuit.

AM: Half day sightseeing of POKHARA CITY. We proceed for city sightseeing followed by visit to David falls, Bindebasisni Temple, Seti gorge and also visit to Tibetan settlement camp.

Boat trip in the lovely Phewa Lake is the foremost attraction of Pokhara. Paddling out into the middle of the lake is a nice way to spend a quiet afternoon. Phewa lake is the largest lake in Pokhara valley and the second largest lake in Nepal. Encircled by Sarangkot and Kaskikot hills, the lake holds a pagoda-style temple, the Barahi Temple is the most important religious monument in resort town Pokhara. Erected in the Center of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to Barahi, the Hindu god Vishnu’s third incarnation in the form of a wild boar.

Later: World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist Stupa is situated on the top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the shrine is a great vantage point which offers the spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the Pokhara

EVE: Short Hike to Srinagar hill view tower

135 kms south of Pokhara, Tansen are reached via the Siddhartha Highway. The route is a dramatic one – twisting and turning through landslide-sacred valleys and offers spectacular Himalayan views. Climbing to over 1000 m the road also descends to the deep, steamy gorge floor of the mighty Kali Gandaki.

Tansen city rests at the base of Srinagar hill. Srinagar Hill sets an added flavor to the picturesque Tansen city standing in the background with its lust green hills. Hike on top of the hill to the view tower for the beautiful panoramic view of Palpa and its surroundings, with breath taking sunset (weather permitting)

Climb down from Tansen and drive for Chitwan for 4 hrs 152 km. Chitwan National (formerly Royal Chitwan National Park) is the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 932 km2 (360 sq mi) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal. In altitude it ranges from about 100 m (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 m (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills.

Jungle activities depend upon local conditions, the activities are brief upon guests arrival at the Resort but the manager. Activities include Jungle walk, jeep safari (depending upon Resorts), canoe ride, elephant safari, Tharu dance, Village visit, Slide presentation, etc.

Flight to Kathmandu 

Drive from Hotel to Bharaptur airport and fly to Kathmandu which would take approximately 20 mins. 

Day at leisure

You will be received at your hotel and transferred to international airport to connect onward flight.
